| More about the job: | Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry a caseload including some or all of the following categories: children looked after, child protection, child in need cases, and cases subject to court proceedings.
- Ensure that the voice of the child and their family are heard and accounted for in assessments and plans, with particular reference to ensuring that service users from minority groups having specific needs are able to articulate their views.
- Carry out assessments using the ‘Framework for Assessment’ and associated tools, and any other assessment scales as may be relevant.
- In conjunction with the Team Manager or Senior Practitioner agree plans based on assessments of need and oversee and review these plans within procedural timescales.
- Arrange or commission services to meet identified need via the in-house brokerage service and oversee the implementation and outcomes of such services on a ‘case management’ basis. |
