More about the job:We are looking for three LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT to work in Hillsborough, Pasco, or Pinellas Counties. A minimum of two to four years experience preferred in Sexual Abuse Trauma or working with children ages 0 - 5 and their families. Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and Medicaid Assessment Responsibilities include: Provide initial and ongoing assessment of the needs of the client and family, as well as progress made towards these goals by completing the following: Brief Assessment ; relevant caregivers and providers as indicated on the Individualized Treatment Plan. Follow all regulations as outlined in the Community Mental Health Services and Limitations Handbook. Provide a flexible schedule of availability to clients. Attend minimally but not limited to monthly staff meetings. Provide clients with a method of contact. Provide back-up coverage in the event of planned absences lasting one week or more.

A large portion of SEQUELCARE OF FLORIDAˇ¦S program includes our Community Services. Our clients receive one hour or two hour sessions a week based on their eligibility and need. Over 20 counselors serving the Pinellas and Paso County provide Therapeutic Behavioral Onsite Services (a type of comprehensive counseling care) either at home or school. Authorization of services, a biopsychic social treatment plan, and assessment are provided as part of an individualized treatment plan. Other services we can assist you and your family with include:

o Crisis intervention.
o Parenting skills.
o Social skills development.
o Individual, family, and group counseling.
o Intensive in-home counseling.
o Therapeutic support.


The families of children and/or adults with serious mental disorders generally require a range of comprehensive community-based services in order to avoid institutionalization. Targeted Case Management (TCM) services are the vehicles we utilize to provide Medicaid-eligible persons with these comprehensive mental health services that not only include clinical care, but ways to overcome the cognitive, communication and social deficits often associated with mental illness. By linking beneficiaries with medical, educational, housing, and social services, our Case Managers coordinate and monitor these provisions. Our service plan includes:

o An initial assessment including referral, intake information, and eligibility.
o Counseling and bio-psychosocial evaluation.
o Individualized service planning with team members, the client, and family.
o Arrangement of doctor visits.
o Psychiatric evaluations.
o Prescription medication, review, and education.


Our Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care Program (STFC) is dedicated to maximizing the social and emotional development of youth ages 3 through 17 while decreasing maladaptive behaviors. STFC services are offered in Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough County. The youth live with therapeutic foster parents who have had extensive training with diagnosis, cognitive behavior interventions, medications and handling of severe behaviors. Our treatment parents are licensed professionals who have had a minimum of 60 hours of training with an additional 40 hours of training each year. Each child is offered therapeutic services by a master level therapist based on the severity of need. We offer each child individualized treatment planning with a multi-disciplinary team. An on-site psychiatrist offers each child psychiatric consultations and case management services ensures that they receive educational, medical and community services as well. Our services offer a corrective emotional experience that will enable them to become successfully reunited with his/her birth family or step down to a less restrictive environment.


Our Residential Program consists of three group homes with wrap around services that serve youth between the ages of 9 and18 years old suffering from severe emotional disturbance. The mission of each group home is to maximize the potential of each resident. Each home offers a stable consistent environment that fosters independence, support, empowerment and the means to begin the transition into adulthood. The Residential Department serves children primary from Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough county with each group home operating 24 hours 7 days a week. Each of our employees receives training in different techniques and therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of each resident in our care.
The group homes offer therapeutic services by a master level therapist based on the severity of need. Individualized treatment planning with a multidisciplinary team, an on-site psychiatrist for each resident, and a case manager ensures that the educational, medical, and community services are linked and accessible for each child.
